What is Happiness? Is it achievable?

Life on November 18th, 2011 No Comments

Happiness is a state of mind! Yes it is, whether you believe it or not it is a state of mind and that’s proven. Countless people achieved it and a lot of them got a hold of it forever.

Some quotes that might help you understand happiness. However it is crucial that you research achieving happiness in order to understand more about it.

People are just as happy as they make up their minds to be. — Abraham Lincoln

I”m so optimistic I’d go after Moby Dick in a row boat and take the tartar sauce with me. – Zig Ziglar

There is joy in work. All that money can do is buy us some one else’s work in exchange for our own. There is no happiness except in the realization that we have accomplished something. –Henry Ford

Happiness is a perfume you cannot pour on others without getting a few drops on yourself. –Ralph Waldo Emerson

Happiness springs immediately from the mind. –Benjamin Franklin

End of story for defining happiness. now how do we achieve that state of mind??! here is the problem or the struggle we have to go through in our daily lives. Each of us has to fight their minds sometimes because our minds are merely tools which we use and like any other tool in the world we can use it for good or evil, for our own benefit or against our own benefit. We can use it to achieve our passions, dreams, and will or to get away from them! Believe it or not, people can get into the habit of being happy! It just needs time for that habit to build up. Therefore as a guide for achieving happiness in your life I recommend the following:

1. Go after your unmet needs.
2. Solve your problems, do not let them accumulate.
3. Achieve your goals and dreams, this will bring you the greatest happiness ever to be experienced in your lifetime. Therefore start with the short term goals and keep going until you reach the long term ones.
4. Help others, a lot of people feel happy when they help others however before helping yourself, you cant really help others a lot.

By the time you achieve most of your short term goals and some of the long term ones, happiness will become more of a habit and a persistent state of mind.

In the end I just wanna say “Good Luck” to all of you in your pursuit of happiness.
