First of all for the people who dont know what are netbooks, here is a short answer:

A netbook is a small portable laptop computer designed for wireless communication and access to the Internet. It includes a fully funcional operating system mostly being windows xp or linux.

I think netbooks are a good solution for people looking for lightweight and versatile web access, netbooks are not only meant for web access, they can run applications such as microsoft office and other  windows based applications just like any notebook. Nevertheless, netbooks have some drawbacks discussed later in this article.
